About Behavioral Health Certifications

The behavioral health field has expanded quickly over the past decade, and certification is how most professionals prove they know what they're doing. The RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) is usually the entry point -- 40 hours of training, a competency assessment, and an 85-question exam from the BACB. From there, many people work toward the BCBA, which requires a master's degree, supervised fieldwork hours, and a much heavier 185-question exam covering ethics, measurement, experimental design, and behavior change procedures.

On the counseling side, the NCE (National Counselor Exam) is the big one. It's required for licensure in most states and covers eight content areas including human development, group counseling, career counseling, and assessment. The exam runs 200 questions across nearly four hours, and the cut score varies by administration based on the Angoff method.

These exams aren't the kind of thing you can cram for in a weekend. Our practice questions help you build familiarity with the format and the kinds of scenarios you'll face. Take your time, read the explanations, and notice patterns in where you're struggling. If you need a tutor to help you work through ABA principles, ethics scenarios, or counseling theories, we've got people for that.
